Bar Operations Specialist

Hook + Line is a dynamic and fast-paced seafood centric restaurant in the Seaport, offering panoramic views of the Boston Harbor and skyline. We are seeking a skilled Bar Operations Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

The Bar Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role in bar operations, guest service, and contributions to the beverage program. This role requires a strong working knowledge of bartending, food, and beverage, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide signature hospitality and guide guest experience from start to finish
  • Recognize the importance of working with all team members, with varying skill sets and experience levels
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with the Bar team, management team, staff, and guests
  • Exude a passion for hospitality and restaurant operations, and cultivate those values within other team members
  • Support the guest experience of those who transition from the bar to the dining room
  • Work with fellow bar trainers, bartenders, apprentices, and barback in a team-oriented way
  • Display commitment to volume-oriented service with precise execution during all Bar shifts
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in hospitality, preferably behind the Bar
  • Strong working knowledge of bartending, food, and beverage
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail
  • High integrity and professionalism
  • A genuinely positive, joyful, upbeat, and energetic attitude
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, sit, squat, or walk for extended periods of time, walk up and down stairs
  • Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
