Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Response Specialist to join our team at Delek US Holdings. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for the administration, coordination, and oversight of an effective emergency response team and facility-wide program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain up-to-date emergency procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations and standards.
  • Ensure readiness of refinery emergency response systems and equipment, and provide oversight of fixed fire protection systems.
  • Provide technical assistance and advice on risk management issues related to fire protection and emergency preparedness and response.
  • Support the Safety department by providing occupational safety, health, and industrial hygiene expertise to refinery personnel.
  • Develop, administer, and control the facility's emergency response budget.
  • Assist with new employee orientation and coordinate emergency response drills with the city, county, and mutual aid partners.
  • Recommend fire protection policies and procedures for management approval.
  • Provide monthly progress reports on all emergency equipment and training for the Refinery Safety Manager.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED (Required)
  • Four (4) or more years of experience in a related field (Required)
  • Industrial fire training certification, HAZMAT certification, First Aid and CPR/AED certification, High Angle and Confined Space Rescue Certification, and Safety management courses (Required)
  • Leadership under extreme conditions is essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to teach, instruct, lecture, and demonstrate to team members and students.
