Senior Neurointensivist Opportunity in Northern New Jersey

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly skilled Neurointensivist to join our team at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ. This unique position offers an exceptional opportunity for medical professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the educational and research mission of our institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for attending Critical Care, Stroke, Endovascular, Neurosurgical, and General Neurology committee meetings as needed, playing a key role in guiding and improving performance and patient care.
- They will participate in the teaching mission of RWJMS/RWJUH through teaching trainees, including fellows in Critical Care, Vascular Neurology, residents in Neurology and Neurosurgery, APP trainees, and students in the above disciplines.
- The physician will be responsible for direct and indirect (on-call) supervision of a multi-disciplinary clinical team.
Requirements:
- Completion of fellowship training with board certification or board eligibility in Neurocritical Care through ABPN, UCNS, and/or CAST
- NJ licensed or eligible for licensure in NJ
Essential Qualities:
- Strong clinical expertise in Neurocritical Care, with the ability to provide high-quality patient care and ensure quality standards are met
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise a multi-disciplinary clinical team
- Ability to assess the appropriateness of transferring patients for specialty care in conjunction with the transfer center
Estimated Annual Salary: $350,000 - $450,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
