Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Inspector to join our team at Fortis Fire & Safety Inc. in Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting and ensuring the proper functioning of fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler systems in compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with NFPA codes and local regulations.
  • Identify and document any deficiencies, malfunctions, or violations related to fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler systems.
  • Verify that alarm panels, detectors, notification devices, and emergency power systems are operational.
  • Test and maintain communication pathways, such as phone lines and communication networks.
  • Provide recommendations and reports for necessary repairs and upgrades.
  • Stay current with industry advancements and technology related to fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler systems.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years in the Fire Safety Industry
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively communicate findings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NICET Certification

Compensation $20-$34/hour depending on experience
