The Opportunity

The Assembly Team Lead is responsible for a variety of operations functions within the framework of Metallics policies and procedures and in compliance of applicable regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
  • Team Development: Empower team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
  • Coaching and Training: Coach and train team members to enhance their performance.
  • Goal Setting: Develop and implement a timeline to achieve targets.
  • Team Performance: Develop team strengths and improve weaknesses.
  • Progress Evaluation: Identify team goals and evaluate team progress.
  • Task Delegation: Delegate tasks, follow up, and assure production orders are processed accurately.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor team performance and report on metrics.
  • Motivation: Motivate team members to achieve their best.
  • Feedback: Listen to team members' feedback.
  • Resource Management: Replenish team with materials as needed.
  • Support: Assist team members with achieving production goals.

Qualifications

  • Leadership Experience: Lead experience - 1 year (minimum).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
  • Negotiation Skills: Confidence and skillful negotiating skills.
  • Computer Literacy: Computer literate.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to give the team direction.
  • Mathematical Skills: Knowledge of basic math; accuracy in counts.
  • Safety Performance: Strong track record of safety performance/communication.
  • Responsibility: Must be responsible, reliable, and take ownership of assigned duties.
  • Initiative: Ability to take initiative and organize their own work independently.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Manufacturing – 2 years (preferred).

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma: High School or equivalent
