Job Summary:

This senior-level position requires a highly experienced system administrator with a strong emphasis on Core Linux skills. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix structure and management, as well as technical proficiency in JAVA, Tomcat, and JBoss.

The successful candidate will be adept at scripting in Bash, Perl, and Python, and well-acquainted with containerization tools like Docker and Docker-Compose, as well as orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Swarm.

They will have practical experience with infrastructure as code, particularly using Salt-Stack, and be skilled in utilizing various DevOps tools. The candidate will be a great team player, with strong communication abilities and a high level of responsibility, integrity, and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable Linux-based systems and infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain complex scripts and automation tools using Bash, Perl, and Python
  • Configure and manage containerization tools like Docker and Docker-Compose
  • Implement and manage orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Swarm
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of systems and applications
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of system administration experience with Core Linux skills
  • High-level knowledge of Linux/Unix structure and management
  • Experience in JAVA, Tomcat, and JBoss
  • Good knowledge of Hypervisor, VMs, Containers, and their operations in depth
  • Good knowledge of scripting mainly in Bash, Perl, and Python
  • Container systems (Docker, Docker-Compose) - good to know
  • Container orchestration (Kubernetes, Swarm or any other)
  • Infrastructure as code (experience with Salt-Stack)
  • Experience in DevOps tools
  • Excellent team player and experience with Individual contributor role
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence colleagues and decision-makers
