Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Quality Control: Provide leadership and guidance to meet specifications in product quality, ensuring that all products meet the required standards.
  • Training and Inspection: Train and oversee thorough inspection of completed labels for errors and defects, ensuring that all products are of the highest quality.
  • Lean Improvement: Identify, recommend, and lead in areas for Lean improvement and modification, continuously improving processes and reducing waste.
  • Task Management: Supervise and perform work based on finishing spec sheets and priorities assigned by the Finishing Supervisor, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation for assigned finishing tasks, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Safety Culture: Lead a strong safety culture, focused on accountability, engagement, and recognition, ensuring that all team members are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: High school or Vocational/Technical degree.
  • Experience: 2+ years' printing experience, preferably in the flexographic print industry.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery.
  • Leadership Experience: 1+ years' experience in a front-line supervisor role.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, ISO quality systems, and the practices of Lean Six Sigma principles.
