Material Handler

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team at Nexeo Staffing. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick and label merchandise from primary locations with accuracy.
• Use hand-held scanners to scan, receive, and stage inbound merchandise.
• Identify and sort merchandise accurately, handle damaged goods, and prepare orders for transport.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand to unload merchandise, stage it in the scanning area, and deliver it to designated areas.
• Maintain pick locations and communicate stocking errors and discrepancies to coworkers and supervisors.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Requirements:

• High School diploma preferred.
• Commitment to high safety standards and compliance with all safety policies and practices.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Good comprehension, organizational, and math skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Power Equipment certification is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English or Spanish.

Benefits:

• Competitive hourly rate: $17.15 - $17.75.
• Day Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 3:00pm, and Friday, 6:00am - 11:00am.
