About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Cook Trainee to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a culinary leader in our kitchen, you will be responsible for assisting the Sous Chef in running the kitchen and managing employees, overseeing operations in the absence of the Sous Chef.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations and employee performance
  • Follow recipes and proper cooking techniques to ensure high-quality products
  • Educate customers and employees on products and provide meal solutions
  • Manage employee performance and provide resources, training, and feedback
Requirements
  • 2 or more years' experience as a Prep or Line Cook
  • Experience leading a team and managing kitchen operations
  • Food safety and quality assurance knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts
  • Experience working in a multi-faceted food service facility
