Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. As a key member of our diagnostic and interventional team, you will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, operating hemodynamic and electrophysiology equipment, and monitoring vital signs and EKG readings.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Procedure Preparation: Receive patients at the clinic reception area, perform general clerical duties, and prepare patients for procedures under the supervision of physicians and RNs.
- Equipment Operation: Assemble and operate hemodynamic and electrophysiology equipment during interventional and diagnostic procedures.
- Monitoring and Analysis: Continuously monitor vital signs, EKG, and pressure recordings, and analyze inter-cardiac electrogram results.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate logs and documentation related to procedures, and report results to physicians and RNs.
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, High School Diploma required.
- Certification: RCIS (registered cardiovascular invasive specialist) and/or RCS (registered cardiac electrophysiology specialist) and/or IBHRE (international board of heart rhythm examiners) certification preferred at hire or within 2 years of employment.
