Role Summary:
We are looking for Assistant Civil Engineers with 0-2 years of professional experience to engage in infrastructure design projects. The role will be based in our office, which operates on a four-day work week, and involves a diverse range of public and private infrastructure initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
The Assistant Civil Engineer will be involved in research, investigation, and design tasks related to roadway and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include:
- Design and alignment of highways and roadways.
- Grading, drainage, pavement markings, and signage.
- Traffic maintenance and protection during construction.
- Conducting studies, developing technical drawings, preparing quantity estimates, and writing specifications.
- Fieldwork for data collection, surveys, and construction observations.
- Designing flood protection infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with Civil3D is a plus.
- Experience with Microstation is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented with strong writing abilities.
Certifications:
- EIT certification preferred.
NV5 offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, which includes medical, dental, life insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan, and opportunities for professional development and advancement.
The salary range for this position is between $65,000.00 and $73,000.00, with actual base pay determined by the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation may include restricted stock units and a comprehensive benefits package.
