Purchasing Specialist

Mar Mac Industries, Inc. is a leading manufacturer and supplier of industry-leading MAR-MAC PREMIUM Building Products. We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team.

• Purchase materials, supplies, and services at the most favorable terms for the company within assigned categories.
• Research and evaluate prospective suppliers and vendors, negotiate prices and specifications, and make recommendations to management for supplier approvals and preferred status.
• Strive for and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors, provide prompt communications, and represent the company according to its values and standards.
• Maintain purchasing records in required form, prepare purchase orders, and track purchases, monitor delivery schedules, and update shipping status of purchase orders.
• Monitor inventory levels and availability of assigned purchasing categories, communicate with consumers and users to ensure availability and prompt replenishment.
• Resolves issues related to returns, replacements, lost shipments, and credit arrangements.

• 4-year degree preferred but not required; degree or certificate in procurement or supply chain a plus.
• Career experience in a manufacturing operation and specifically procurement, freight management, sales preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
