Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Mar Mac Industries, Inc.

This role is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and services at the most favorable terms for the company within assigned categories. The ideal candidate will have experience in research and evaluation of prospective suppliers and vendors, negotiation of prices and specifications, and comparison of supplier offerings according to standards of price, quality, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchasing - Purchases materials, supplies, and services at the most favorable terms for the company within assigned categories.
• Relationship Management - Strives for and maintains positive but arms-length relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Record Keeping and Administration - Prepares purchase orders and maintains purchasing records in required form.
• Monitor Inventory and Replenishment Requirements - Monitors inventory levels and availability of assigned purchasing categories.
• Issue Resolution - Resolves issues related to returns, replacements, lost shipments, and credit arrangements.

Requirements:

• 4-year degree preferred but not required; degree or certificate in procurement or supply chain a plus.
• Career experience in a manufacturing operation and specifically procurement, freight management, sales preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrates honesty and integrity in interactions with others.
• Demonstrates ability to make informed, educated decisions reflecting the needs of the business.
• Demonstrates experience and competence in office productivity tools such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email.

Compensation: We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience.
