Compensation:

Competitive salary

Your Role:

As the Rebar Placing Manager, you will provide strategic leadership for Nucor Harris Rebar's placing operations at the branch level. This includes overseeing and developing managers, supervisors, and future leaders while collaborating with the Branch Manager and team to achieve strategic objectives.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of safety within the branch and region, leading by example with a strong commitment to the safety of all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures established by Nucor Harris Rebar's Safety Team.
  • Communicate safety and production expectations to contractors and customers.
  • Pre-plan work and ensure necessary labor, tools, and equipment are available.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager and other department leaders to identify growth opportunities in your market.
  • Work closely with the branch team to ensure effective execution of the Rebar Contractor Strategy.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships in partnership with the Branch Manager.
  • Implement a sales and bidding strategy that promotes the 'Rebar Contractor Model' Supply and Install package.
  • Share best practices with branch leadership for effective implementation.
  • Review safety and production outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate regularly with the Branch Manager regarding safety, bidding, productivity, and profitability.
  • Assist in developing a succession plan and training for team members with growth potential.
  • Coach and motivate supervisors and key teammates to align with Nucor Harris Rebar's vision and values.
  • Ensure all billable items are accounted for and invoiced appropriately.
  • Clarify and enforce company policies and procedures within your department.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in creating an annual budget aligned with market share objectives.
  • Build relationships within the local construction and business community.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Your Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Rebar Installation, with at least 5 years in pricing installation.
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory role, including pricing and managing work.
  • 5 years of experience in the Reinforcing Steel Market.
  • 5 years of experience with Post Tensioning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • STSC Certification.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Travel and frequent job site visits are required.
  • Protective equipment must be worn on-site.
  • Work hours may extend beyond the typical business day.
  • Office activities include walking, sitting, standing, and bending.
  • Ability to lift and handle equipment is necessary.
  • Moderate noise levels may be present.
