Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Superintendent - Water/Wastewater** to join our team at HarperGC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and construction of water/wastewater projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Work with project managers to coordinate planning, scheduling, and construction of water/wastewater projects.
  • Safety and Quality: Promote and enforce safety protocols, inspect work progress, and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Technical Authority: Serve as the foremost technical authority on water/wastewater projects.
  • Trade Partner Coordination: Plan, schedule, and coordinate with trade partners, including foremen and crew.
  • Project Scheduling: Work with the project team to develop a project schedule, monitor equipment needs, and utilize internal resources.
  • Quality Control: Develop and manage a QAQC program, inspect work in progress, and ensure consistency in workmanship.
  • Leadership: Lead the jobsite, including Harper personnel, trade partners, and vendors.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain relationships with city, local agencies, and utility representatives.
  • Problem-Solving: Confer with supervisory and engineering personnel to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of jobsite supervision experience, including working as an assistant superintendent or foreman.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions

The Superintendent - Water/Wastewater will work in a variety of conditions relative to construction jobsite environments. The role requires walking over varied terrain, climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting. Inspection for quality, consistency, and completeness of work frequently requires climbing ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.

Travel Requirements

Travel to/from multiple jobsites, projects, and offices is required. Little overnight or weekend travel is expected.
