Job Summary
Join HDR as a Resident Project Representative in Charlotte, North Carolina, where you will be responsible for observing water and wastewater utility construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct construction observation and documentation for conformance with the construction contract.
  • Work with the HDR Project Manager to evaluate project schedules and prepare status reports.
  • Attend coordination meetings and regular construction progress meetings with the Owner and the Contractor.
  • Photograph construction progress and catalog photos for future reference.
  • Produce required reports on Contractor's progress, quality, schedule, and budget status.
  • Review Contractor pay requests, including stored materials.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of construction site conditions and activities.


Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in construction observation and documentation, preferably in water/wastewater utility construction.
  • Experience with construction scheduling, cost controls, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must possess a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction.
