Lyceum Kennedy, a renowned institution dedicated to fostering cultural understanding, is seeking an exceptional Japanese Program Director. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our Japanese language and cultural programs.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our Japanese programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in education, Japanese studies, or a related field, with a deep understanding of Japanese culture and language.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain students in our Japanese language and cultural programs.
  • Analyze enrollment trends and provide actionable insights to improve retention.
  • Plan and host admissions events, including open houses and orientation sessions.
  • Oversee the entire admissions process, from initial contact to student onboarding.
  • Collaborate with the Head of School to set and achieve enrollment targets.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with schools, cultural organizations, and community groups.
  • Represent the program at conferences, workshops, and community events.
  • Partner with stakeholders to organize events, workshops, and cultural activities.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate innovative Japanese language and cultural programs that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Develop dynamic curricula, lesson plans, and educational materials aligned with best practices and educational standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, Japanese studies, or a related field required (master's preferred).
  • Fluency in Japanese and English, with a deep understanding of Japanese language and culture.
  • Proven experience in program management, curriculum development, and team leadership.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual salary for this position is estimated to be between $80,000 and $90,000, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. Benefits include private medical premium partially covered, vision, dental, 401K retirement plan, commuter benefits, and the Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
