Responsibilities
As a Healthcare Support Specialist, your duties will include:
- Assisting with essential clinical and non-clinical patient care tasks under supervision in designated areas.
- Facilitating patient admissions and discharges.
- Supporting patients with personal care and daily living activities.
- Communicating any changes in patients' physical, mental, or emotional conditions to nursing staff and documenting necessary information.
- Ensuring patient rooms are clean and organized, as well as maintaining medical equipment.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
- Nurse Aide certification from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry is required prior to hire or transfer date.
- Certified Nursing Assistant credential from the state of Wisconsin, with eligibility to work in a hospital environment, must be obtained before hire or transfer date.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of relevant cumulative job-specific experience is required.
Note:
Professional licensure or certification may substitute for education or experience, if applicable.
