The Cesar E. Chavez Department of Chicana/o and Central American Studies is seeking a distinguished scholar at the level of Associate or Full Professor specializing in Expressive Cultures and/or Histories of the Americas, Cultural Studies, Digital Humanities, or Performance. We invite applications from innovative scholars whose research complements and enhances our current curriculum, particularly those focusing on Afro-Latinx or Afro-descendant, Central American, Indigenous, and/or Trans and Sexuality Studies. A strong record of publication, teaching, mentorship, and leadership is essential.
We encourage applications from interdisciplinary scholars whose backgrounds in research, teaching, and community service have equipped them to contribute to excellence and diversity within the department. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or other terminal degree at the time of application.
