Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Research Specialist to join our team at Sherwin-Williams. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for conducting research and development of new colorant products, formulating and testing colorant dispersions and paint products, and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and development of new colorant products, including formulation, testing, and product application.
  • Formulate and test colorant dispersions and paint products, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and sales.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of product lines and colorant systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to benefit the group and company.
  • Document lab results and technical information accurately and effectively.
  • Collaborate with R&D Colorant lab personnel and supported teams to ensure project success.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) field.
  • Basic math skills and proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field, 1 year lab experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
