Trinity Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient access to our medical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient scheduling and registration processes to ensure efficient and effective access to medical services.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient information, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Process and manage patient accounts, including billing and insurance claims, to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.
- Stay up-to-date with changing healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures, applying this knowledge to improve patient access and care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in patient access, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software systems.
