About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team in the Financial Services industry. As a key member of our ETF Global Platform development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that integrate with our existing application and provide benefits to the business. This role requires collaboration with team members and stakeholders across Boston, EMEA, India, and China.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and application team leads to define technical solutions to meet business requirements
  • Problem solving for projects or major phases of projects to resolve advanced software technical issues
  • Identify risk areas and provide alternate strategies to address concerns
  • Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs, applications, and projects using Java, SQL, React, or other related software engineering languages
  • Provide application support, triage production issues by reviewing code and logs as needed to provide tactical and/or strategic technical solutions
  • Write unit and automation test cases to ensure a high-quality end product
  • Provide mentoring to junior and senior staff
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Actively participate in the agile software development process by adhering to the kanban methodology

Requirements
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to handle high workload and a fast-paced environment
  • An in-depth understanding of the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle
  • The ability to work independently to design, develop, test, and debug software solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and independent problem-solving skills
