We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Amergis, a leading provider of healthcare staffing solutions. As an LPN Corrections, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a correctional facility setting.
Job Summary:The LPN Corrections will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide medical care to inmates, including administering medications, conducting health assessments, and developing care plans. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide medical care to inmates, including administering medications and conducting health assessments
- Develop and implement care plans for inmates with complex medical needs
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
- Current LPN license in the applicable state
- Minimum of one year of experience in corrections or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic life support certification
