We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Operations Manager to join our team at the Atlantic Council of the United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing physical security, outsourced information technology (IT) support, cybersecurity, and organizational insurance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our organization.

Estimated Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000

This role is based in our Washington, D.C. headquarters, requiring a minimum of 4 days per week in office. As a Senior Security Operations Manager, you will work closely with our Chief Operating Officer and interact with various programs and centers across the organization to deliver on our workstreams day-to-day.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement systems, policies, and procedures to improve our IT service, cybersecurity awareness, physical security, and insurance support to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate new IT and cybersecurity directives, policies, or procedures to users.
  • Collaborate with the Deputy Director, Office of Finance and Operations to develop trainings, guides, and support materials.
  • Supervise day-to-day outsourced IT support with Managed Services Provider, including the full-time onsite systems administrator(s), ongoing projects and technicians assigned, and vCIO.
  • Maintain all organizational insurance policies, working closely with brokers to ensure coverage for the organization, events, and travel.
  • Manage physical security for the organization, including protectee logistics for onsite and offsite events, access control, and working with building security.
  • Determine the security, IT, and insurance budget within OFO, including the annual budget, reforecasting throughout the year, and performing invoice approvals and reconciliations to ensure budget to actual spending is on track.
  • Think creatively and work with programs and centers to identify areas for improvement within physical security, IT, cybersecurity, and insurance processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field required.
  • 10-15 years of relevant IT, cybersecurity, and physical security experience.
  • Proven background in organizational insurance management, including event and travel.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills, including ability to identify, balance, and rapidly shift priorities as needed.
  • Positive, flexible, get-it-done attitude.
  • Ability to make sound judgments, assume responsibility, and work proactively and independently in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills and ability to write and edit under tight timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills appropriate for operating effectively in a multicultural, international team environment.
  • Data-driven, detail-oriented, self-starter, and an excellent problem solver.
  • Advanced computer skills using MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, and ability to quickly learn new software and platforms.
  • Experience working with a non-profit or international organization preferred.
