Position Summary:


This role requires extensive expertise in the installation, preventive upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of various HVAC systems and equipment. The individual will oversee, instruct, and evaluate the performance of other team members while also executing the responsibilities of an HVAC Technician. This position entails completing necessary regulatory documentation related to HVAC operations. The technician will be expected to work on a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays, as well as participate in an on-call rotation. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
With minimal supervision, you will be accountable for the safety, reliability, and functionality of HVAC systems and components.

This encompasses building automation systems, air distribution systems, exhaust systems, critical room control systems, and any other assigned equipment and systems within the designated region.

Completion of regulatory reports related to HVAC operations is required.

Assist with maintenance tasks as necessary.

Support snow removal efforts.

Help in relocating furniture and equipment as needed.

Conduct competency assessments in your area of expertise and provide training for fellow technicians.


Perform Infection Control Risk Assessments and submit them to the Infection Prevention team when necessary to obtain permits for work in sensitive areas.


Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum of 1 year of experience in maintenance and/or repair within a healthcare environment

Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.

Demonstrated capacity to learn and resolve complex issues with minimal supervision.


Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematics, airflow hoods, and utilizing measuring and testing tools to address challenging problems and verify the proper functioning of equipment, systems, or facilities.

Familiarity with regulations, codes, and standards pertinent to Healthcare HVAC requirements is essential.

Proficient use of standard equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
