We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing speech and language assessment and therapy to students with developmental disabilities.
Job Summary:This is a permanent, full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8am-3pm, with no holidays or weekends. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech and language assessment and evaluation to determine student's developmental level and needs. You will also plan and conduct speech and language interventions in accordance with established goals.
Responsibilities:- Provides speech and language assessment and evaluation to determine student's developmental level and needs.
- Plans and conducts speech and language interventions in accordance with established goals.
- Implements testing procedures to evaluate and monitor student progress as required by appropriate regulatory agency.
- Assesses oral motor development and ability to intake food orally.
- Develops a treatment plan appropriate to identified disabilities.
- Implements appropriate utilization of AAC devices.
- Maintains daily and monthly attendance records and progress notes.
- Provides therapy progress reports to parents/guardians and appropriate team members.
- Participates in Initial Evaluation and Intake processes.
- Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
- One year of prior Speech Therapy experience preferred.
- Current NY State license in Speech and Language Pathology.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency required.
- NYSED Certification as a Teacher of Speech and Hard of hearing (TSHH) is mandated.
- For Bilingual Therapist: NYSED TSSH Certification with Bilingual Extension.
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates will be supervised.
The salary range for this position is $42-$45/hour.
