Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team at Mercy. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for visits by completing the Advanced Standard room process, including entering chief complaints, taking vital signs, reviewing patient history and allergies, and completing medication reconciliations.
  • Assist with in-office testing, including drawing blood, completing mental status exams, EKGs, walking oxygen studies, and point-of-care testing.
  • Administer vaccines and other injections within the scope of practice.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments as needed and collaborate with providers and the clinical care team to monitor and coordinate delivery of the care plan.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Preferred experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.
