About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Specialist to join our team at the Hispanic Technology Executive Council. As a Credit Risk Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare credit reviews of new principal lenders for approval by senior credit officers
  • Investigate and assist with the remediation of limit excesses to support business needs
  • Provide inputs for annual review memos
  • Negotiate credit terms of legal documentation and escalate nonstandard terms to senior credit officers for approvals
  • Develop and utilize risk management tools for the measurement, monitoring, and management of exposure
  • Work with risk colleagues and business stakeholders on risk mitigation and exceptions at both inception of transactions and on an ongoing basis
Requirements
  • 6-10 years of experience in credit risk/counterparty credit risk management or equivalent training and experience preferably in the financial services industry
  • Experience in funds and securities lending transactions preferably
  • Strong understanding of counterparty credit risk measurements methodology
  • Proven ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business goals
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize issues to senior management and prioritize daily tasks
  • Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and analytic skills
  • Strong Excel skills ideally incorporating VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), programming skills in Python, R, or other statistical languages is a plus
Education

Bachelor's/Master's degree in mathematics, science, finance/economics, risk management, or a related field required

An MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred, and formal credit training is a plus
