Job Summary:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant with Salem Health, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a CNA.

Key Responsibilities:

Complete personal care on each patient as directed by the plan of care, including policies and procedures, without continual direct supervision.
Accurately perform skills per policy and procedure.
Complete only those skills duties for which competency has been demonstrated on basic and advanced skills checklists.
Observe and report any patient condition changes to the Primary Nurse, such as abnormal vital signs, abnormal responses to care, change in patient behavior, functional status, patient complaints, changes in skin integrity, falls, etc.
Document pertinent patient information concisely and legibly using acceptable medical terminology and abbreviation on all assigned patients.
Assume additional clerical responsibilities as department needs dictate.

Requirements:

Currently certified in the State of Oregon to practice as a CNA.
Have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider card from the American Heart Association.
Well-developed computer skills and ability to learn additional programs with minimal training.
Ability to work tactfully and effectively with physicians, nurses, and other hospital employees.
