Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant II to join our team at Salem Health. As a CNA II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our nursing staff. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and report any patient condition changes to the Primary Nurse
  • Complete personal care on each patient as assigned or directed by plan of care and policies and procedures
  • Encourage a balance between rest and activity as appropriate for the patient
  • Reinforce patient teaching with activities of daily living
  • Document pertinent patient information concisely and legibly
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment for patients and self
Requirements
  • Currently certified in the State of Oregon to practice as a CNA II
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Recent experience in an acute care setting
  • Well-developed computer skills and ability to learn additional programs with minimal training
  • Ability to work tactfully and effectively with physicians, nurses and other hospital employees
