Role Overview
The Veterinary Orthopedic Sales Consultant is tasked with driving sales of orthopedic products and equipment to both established veterinarians and prospective clients within a designated sales territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote orthopedic products to major surgical specialty practices in the assigned area.
  • Collaborate with MWI sales representatives to target specialty practices and transition business to MWI products.
  • Educate sales representatives on the utilization of MWI products to facilitate further sales opportunities.
  • Assist MWI Regional Manager and staff during regional sales meetings.
  • Support MWI's wet lab personnel as required for regional wet labs.
  • Serve as a product authority within the territory.
  • Market MWI surgical instruments and sutures as complementary to the orthopedic offerings.
  • Provide technical support regarding MWI products through various communication channels.
  • Relay marketing and sales insights to the MWI headquarters.
  • Manage bid information and consignment account issues within the region.
  • Conduct inventory assessments to support MWI marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated sales and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven success in converting competitive business.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in surgical sales.
  • Familiarity with orthopedic products and procedures is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience within the veterinary sector.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to formulate a monthly sales strategy for the territory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
  • Understanding of social media platforms.
  • Excellent telephone communication skills to enhance personal selling efforts.
  • Ability to produce detailed and timely sales reports.
  • Skills in inventory management.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
