Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Registered Nurse PRN to join our team at Texas Orthopedic Hospital, part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and assist physicians with procedures as needed (i.e., abscess drainage, biopsy, consent for invasive procedures and follow-ups, as necessary).
  • Monitor patients receiving I.V. sedation under the direct supervision of the Radiologist.
  • Inform the Radiologist/Technologist of any pending changes in the patient's condition.
  • Administer medications/blood as ordered.
  • EKG monitoring when necessary.
  • Start of saline locks and I.V.'s according to IVP/CT protocol.
  • Catheterization of patients in department.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
  • Current Texas licensure with State Board of Nurse Examiners is required.
  • BSN is preferred.
  • Two years of hospital experience is required.
  • Basic EKG certification is required.
  • IV Therapy certification is required.
  • IV Medication course is required.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
  • American Heart Association ACLS certified is required within six months of hire.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary range for this position is $60-$80 per hour.
