PRODUCTION MANAGER TRAINEE

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Manager Trainee to join our team at The Recruiting Pros. As a Production Manager Trainee, you will participate in a comprehensive training program to develop your skills and knowledge in production management. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and advance your career in a dynamic and growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct a team of production employees to meet daily production, quality, and safety objectives
  • Ensure the efficient delivery of quality products and make recommendations to improve production processes
  • Plan work schedules, provide guidance to production team members, and assist with disciplinary action when needed
  • Maintain a safe work environment and communicate information to associates to ensure the smooth flow of materials and product
  • Have a thorough understanding of plant operations, manufacturing processes, and related equipment, machinery, and systems
  • Compile reports and production records, identify and troubleshoot production issues, and make recommendations for resolution
  • Take coaching, counseling, and corrective action with non-conforming associates and analyze and troubleshoot equipment and machinery
  • Manage the time and attendance system and maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • High School Degree, College degree considered a plus
  • 3+ years working in a manufacturing environment required
  • Supervisory and/or management experience in a production environment required; night shift supervisory experience a strong plus
  • Experience working with a time and attendance system; Kronos a strong plus
  • Understanding of Quality Control (QC) systems for material and product testing
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
