Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a keen eye for detail. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all guest accommodations and public spaces are impeccably maintained. Your commitment to outstanding customer service will be crucial in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct housekeeping staff during their daily tasks.
- Oversee laundry operations and ensure proper procedures are followed.
- Maintain and organize supply rooms, managing inventory and ordering supplies within budgetary constraints.
- Address and resolve guest concerns related to housekeeping services promptly.
- Ensure all guest rooms and common areas are maintained to high cleanliness standards.
- Conduct daily staff meetings and organize team activities as needed.
- Assist guests with inquiries and special requests.
- Provide exceptional customer service consistently and maintain professionalism.
- Train new housekeeping staff as required.
Supervisory Duties:
- Oversee Inspectors, Room Attendants, Laundry Attendants, Housepersons, and Public Area Attendants.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality or hotel management is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a housekeeping role.
- Familiarity with cleaning products, techniques, and equipment operation.
- Knowledge of industry best practices.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong commitment to guest satisfaction and service excellence.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams in a positive and proactive manner.
- Efficient and accurate in task execution; capable of working under pressure.
- Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.
Work Environment:
Equipment Used:
- Computer and mobile applications.
- Various cleaning tools such as vacuums, mops, and chemicals.
- Washer and dryer as needed.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Regular attendance with flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
- Adaptability to a dynamic and sometimes demanding work environment.
