Key Responsibilities
  • Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries and Illnesses
  • Provide coverage at home athletic events, practices, and designated away events
  • Evaluate and manage athletic injuries
  • Communicate effectively with the sports medicine team, coaches, student-athletes, and parents
  • Provide education and counseling to student-athletes regarding their injuries or illnesses
  • Maintain accurate documentation and record-keeping
  • Ensure confidentiality and adhere to relevant laws and regulations (FERPA, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Oversee the maintenance and inventory of the athletics training room and equipment
  • Coordinate NAIA Drug Education policies and procedures with staff and student-athletes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board of Certification (BOC) certification (required for exemption)
  • Eligibility for state of Arizona licensure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current certification in first aid, CPR, and AED
