About the Role
">We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Assistant to join our team in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at NYU Langone Health. As a Medical Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our nursing staff in delivering top-notch medical services.

- Assist registered nurses with patient care tasks, including vital sign checks, medication administration, and charting.">
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families during their hospital stay.">
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by restocking supplies, disposing of trash, and ensuring equipment is in good working order.">
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.">
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.">
Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
">- ">
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of PCT program with at least 6 months hospital experience preferred.">
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association AHA OR Heartsaver CPR/AED certification issued by the American Heart Association AHA required upon entry to the position.">
- Working knowledge of English evident in verbal reading and writing abilities; other language an asset.">
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.">
