Job Summary:

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Medical Assistant Xray Specialist to assist licensed medical staff in the preparation of patients for delivery of services. The ideal candidate will have one to three years of experience working in a clinic setting or physician office, or equivalent training in an approved medical assistant program. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing limited radiology procedures, maintaining accurate records, and communicating effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed medical staff in preparing patients for delivery of services.
  • Perform limited radiology procedures under the direction of a licensed medical professional.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and supervisors.
  • Ensure that diagnosis correlates with the procedure/exam requested.

Requirements:

  • One to three years of experience working in a clinic setting or physician office, or equivalent training in an approved medical assistant program.
  • Current CPR Certification- AHA (CT CPRBLS).
  • Limited Radiology Tech license.
  • Ability to move quickly from one task to another independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, staff, and supervisor.
  • Ability to take instructions, comprehend, and follow through effectively.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
  • Computer literate with the ability to type accurately at a moderate pace.
