As a Registered Nurse in our Medical Surgical department, you will utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, maintain professional accountability, and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. You will also coordinate patient care with other departments and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
  • Coordinate patient care with other departments, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Licensure: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of hire and/or compact licensure.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Additional certifications may be required based on the position/unit.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
