Job Summary

Baystate Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Services department, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Disinfection: Perform daily cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, corridors, public areas, offices, and other designated spaces.
  • Terminal Cleaning: Conduct thorough terminal cleaning of specialty areas, including Emergency Department, Operating Rooms, and NICU.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and disinfect various equipment, including operating tables and stretchers.
  • Waste Management: Properly remove municipal solid waste, regulated medical waste, soiled linen, and recyclables.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with co-workers and unit staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Adherence to Policies: Adhere to Baystate Health's policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
