Scientific Drilling is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shop Technician to join our team in Casper, WY. As a Shop Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the facility in a safe and proper working order, assisting with the testing of MWD Tools and components, and performing inventory audits as required.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repair: Maintain the facility in a safe and proper working order, including performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities.
- MWD Tool Testing: Assist the MWD Coordinator with the testing of MWD Tools and components, prepare MWD Kit boxes for upcoming jobs, and maintain and record MWD kit box inventory.
- Inventory Management: Perform inventory audits as required, monitor daily usage and the purchase of parts and supplies, and maintain all records of maintenance and testing to meet regulatory requirements.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner, adhere to safety standards with Company HSE policies, and manage work station and practice good housekeeping techniques.
- Problem-Solving: Use logic to solve problems with effective solutions and pursue every job with drive and determination.
- Education: High School Diploma required or equivalent.
- Experience: Two to 4 years' shop technician experience preferred.
- Skills: Good knowledge of equipment and facility maintenance, good communication and managerial skills, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision, and experience in a computerized environment.
