Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care, grooming, dressing, oral care, and other daily living activities
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation
  • Enhance the safety and hygiene of the client and their environment
  • Practice infection control measures and maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Transport clients to and from medical and social appointments
  • Document services provided and maintain accurate records
  • Remind clients to take medication and offer minimal assistance as needed
  • Observe and document any changes in the client's condition
  • Comply with agency policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • One year of full-time experience in caregiving or home care within the past five years
  • One year of full-time experience providing personal care in a hospital or nursing home
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Willingness to comply with all policies and procedures
  • Willingness to undergo orientation training and at least 8 hours of on-job training annually
  • Ability to work in stressful environments and care for clients of all personalities
  • Computer literacy
  • Understanding of the physical, psychological, and developmental needs of clients
  • Ability to respect clients and their property
