Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Procurement Specialist to join our procurement team at Card-Monroe Automation. The ideal candidate will assist in the procurement of goods and services to meet the company's operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Management: Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiate terms, prepare supplier scorecards, and build strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Order Processing: Place purchase orders, track order status, and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, analyze usage trends, and assist in maintaining optimal stock levels.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new products.
  • Data Entry and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, order acknowledgements, costs, and inventory. Prepare regular reports and update ERP system as needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Address any issues related to product quality, delivery delays, or discrepancies in orders. Process RMAs (returned material authorizations) and follow up with suppliers on closure.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience: Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related field is a plus but not required. Relevant internships or coursework will be considered.
  • Personal Traits: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Highly organized with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Working Conditions:
  • Primarily an office setting but requires work with teams in internal or customer manufacturing facilities.
  • May require occasional travel to meet with suppliers or other facilities.
