Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our team at Saint Joseph Health System. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing the health, safety, and general well-being of student athletes participating in school system sanctioned athletics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with regulatory agency standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate training room activities during treatment periods.
  • Administer treatments to injured or ill athletes in consultation with the team physician.
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
  • Recognize and manage minor injuries or illnesses during athletic practices and competition.
  • Apply protective and injury preventative devices as required.
  • Coordinate athletic training and supplies for teams traveling without direct athletic training support.
  • Provide contest coverage for home events in all sports.
  • Participate in team pre-participation physical examination sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records related to injury/illness occurrences and rehabilitative courses.
Requirements

We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training and certification as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Indiana. Previous experience in a sport rotation is preferred, but we will consider new graduates from accredited colleges.
