Role Summary

As a Modem Platform Software Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for developing and delivering cutting-edge modem baseband software for iPhone and iPad. This involves designing, developing, and patenting innovative wireless connectivity technologies that elevate the customer experience with Apple products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop state-of-the-art modem baseband software and device drivers
  • Perform board bring-up and hardware validation
  • Review hardware schematics and assist in hardware debugging
  • Support factory testing and resolve critical issues on-site
  • Perform modem software integration and stabilization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, RF, protocol, and QA
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in BSP/device driver development and debugging
  • Strong programming skills in C and C++
  • Deep understanding of multi-core embedded hardware systems and RTOS
  • Good at analyzing and triaging complex modem issues
  • Highly motivated and disciplined, self-starter
  • Good team player with strong verbal and written interpersonal skills, fluent English communication is a must-have
Preferred Qualifications
  • Assembly programming skills
  • Experience in multiple driver areas
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering or related degree
