Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cocktail Server to join our team at Maggiano's Little Italy. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Essential Functions:

To be successful in this role, you must be able to:

  • Effectively manage a 6-table station, ensuring prompt and attentive service to our guests.
  • Accurately account for and balance all sales and receipts, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicate clearly with the kitchen team, both verbally and through the use of our computer register system.
  • Promote and encourage current menu items and specials to our guests, ensuring they are aware of our offerings.
  • Accurately record and account for all items ordered and served, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Accept payment from guests, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other forms of payment with ease.
  • Notify guests of any automatic gratuity, ensuring they are aware of any additional charges.
  • Perform calmly and effectively under pressure, maintaining a professional demeanor in fast-paced environments.
  • Communicate with guests clearly, patiently, courteously, and with good humor, ensuring they feel valued and respected.
  • Perform varied duties to ensure all aspects of service are met according to our standing operating procedures.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of full-service restaurant experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of menu items, specials, wine lists, liquor lists, and accounting procedures.
  • Ability to meet personal schedule requirements punctually, be courteous, pleasant, and good-natured, and respond to the needs of difficult guests with patience and courtesy.
  • Ability to get along with co-workers, provide a clean, well-manicured persona that reflects our established image, and stand and walk for an entire shift.
  • Ability to safely transport food from the kitchen to guest tables over slick, uneven surfaces, and work nights, weekends, and holidays.
