Human Resources Team Leader

This role encompasses essential functions in various human resource domains, including HR information systems, employee engagement, performance oversight, policy management, compliance, training initiatives, and employee acknowledgment.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Engagement
- Act as a liaison between management and staff.
- Oversee or guide team members in tasks such as coaching, training, and providing performance evaluations.
- Consult with management on employee coaching, disciplinary actions, grievance procedures, and separations.
- Represent the organization at personnel-related hearings and inquiries.
- Encourage effective employee relations by mediating discussions to resolve conflicts.
Performance Oversight
- Provide coaching and support to supervisory personnel regarding performance management challenges.
- Implement and oversee performance management and disciplinary systems.
Policy Management
- Advise management on policy-related issues, including leave administration, equal employment opportunities, and workplace accommodations.
- Review and recommend modifications to HR policies and procedures.
Benefits Administration
- Thoroughly understand benefit offerings to assist employees with enrollment and inquiries.
- Support the administration of benefits and compensation programs.
- Collaborate with a team to negotiate annual insurance renewals.
- Provide resources to empower employees with essential information regarding various HR topics.
Training and Development
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs, including onboarding and ongoing professional growth.
Additional Duties
- Conduct audits of HR information systems to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Foster strong relationships with organizational leaders to promote collaboration and success.
- Support departmental objectives and projects as time permits.
- Practice active listening and provide constructive feedback.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in human resources.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Skills and Knowledge
- Competent in using PC and various software applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
- Capable of working under pressure and responding to inquiries effectively.
- Adaptable and quick to learn new processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Knowledgeable in GMP rules and Food Safety guidelines.
- Collaborative team player.
