Furthermore, the position entails pinpointing, examining, and resolving operational challenges while engaging in code evaluations to guarantee adherence to development standards and system/business prerequisites.
Functioning with minimal oversight and considerable latitude for independent decision-making, this position is designed for U.S. Citizens or residents only.
Key Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, and modifies intricate software applications, subroutines, triggers, stored procedures, objects, classes, and scripts.
- Conducts essential testing of assigned applications, which includes generating test data, crafting test scripts/execution sequences, reviewing test outcomes, and troubleshooting errors.
- Delivers customer service, coordination, and communication within a multifaceted environment.
- Supervises trainers, technical support personnel, network experts, and contract staff to implement modifications and updates to existing systems or to introduce new systems.
- Establishes and maintains development standards and documentation for internal IT personnel and stakeholders.
- Performs additional related tasks and responsibilities as necessary in response to business demands.
Qualifications and Skills
- In-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials data elements and table structures.
- Expertise in SQL, PeopleSoft Query, PeopleSoft Trees, and configurations, nVision; with preferred proficiency in BI Publisher, Unix/Linux, and Windows.
- Experience in transitioning objects/projects to production environments.
- Comprehension of coding and testing methodologies, information technology standards, practices, and project lifecycles.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting regulations, processes, and requirements, as well as computer programming principles, practices, and techniques, data requirements gathering, query design, development, testing, and optimization.
- Skills in PeopleCode, SQL analysis tools, explain plans, PeopleTools, and PeopleSoft debugging.
- Proficient in utilizing PeopleSoft Financials 8.8 (or higher) and PeopleTools 8.50 (or higher) architecture, tools, and Oracle database.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively convey technical analysis and data findings to diverse audiences.
