Overview:
Join our team at Georgia Crown Distributing Co. as a Local Logistics Operator. We are a comprehensive alcoholic beverage distributor with operations across multiple states.

We seek dependable and responsible Logistics Operators who value being home each night and can guarantee that products are delivered safely, accurately, courteously, efficiently, and on time.


Responsibilities:

Key Duties:


Arrive at work punctually and work until all deliveries are completed; there is no fixed quitting time, and overtime may be required (in compliance with FMCSA hours of service regulations).

Deliver products to pre-assigned clients daily, with routes subject to change.

Conduct thorough pre/post trip inspections and accurately log any vehicle defects.


Utilize proper safety techniques while entering and exiting the delivery vehicle and loading/unloading products (with or without a ramp).

Manage load distribution throughout the day using load bars and ensure the vehicle is secured at all times.


Adhere to all federal and state traffic laws, driving cautiously to prevent product damage and shifting.

Confirm that the correct products are delivered to the right recipients.

Ensure accurate funds are received upon delivery (cash will not be accepted).

Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional relationship with clients.

Utilize basic math skills to calculate invoice changes.

Communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors regarding delivery status and any arising issues.

This position involves heavy lifting, including carrying product cases independently and with the assistance of a hand truck.

Job functions will require sitting, standing, driving, walking, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.

Deliveries will occur in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by management.

Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must possess and maintain DOT Medical Certification.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Must have at least one year of prior experience driving a box truck or larger vehicle.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be willing to work until all deliveries are completed; there is no fixed quitting time.
  • Must be able to report to work early and work overtime as necessary.
  • Basic math skills and calculator proficiency are required.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.

Acceptable Driving Record:

  • No more than two moving violations, accidents, or super speeder incidents in the last three years.
  • No DUI, reckless driving, or hit-and-run incidents in the last five years.
