Position Overview:
The Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration is in search of a skilled and dedicated Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our Specialty Service team.

We are looking for candidates who are committed to enhancing the quality of care and fostering the advancement of our academic hospital program.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, adapting to the evolving needs of our healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:
This is an ongoing recruitment effort, and applications will be reviewed continuously. Eligible candidates will be considered weekly until the position is filled. The VA provides a comprehensive total rewards package, including:
  • Compensation: Competitive salary with annual performance bonuses and regular salary increases.
  • Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off annually, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, and 11 paid Federal holidays.

The Non-Invasive Cardiologist will report to the Medical Specialty Chief and will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining professional competencies to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Participating in the management of a comprehensive Cardiology program, including clinical, administrative, academic, and research activities.
  • Diagnosing and treating patients with cardiac conditions using established medical practices.

Work Schedule: Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility based on patient care needs.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required; non-citizens may only be appointed when qualified citizens are unavailable.
  • Completion of a medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the U.S.
  • Completion of residency training in an accredited Cardiology program.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Preferred Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in Non-Invasive Cardiology and board certification is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements: The role may involve light lifting and carrying, as well as prolonged periods of standing and walking.
