Position Summary:
Facilitates age-appropriate educational opportunities for children in the classroom. Educational activities should be designed to prepare children for their next learning environment.

Responsibilities:
Develops, implements, and assesses the curriculum for the assigned age group at Covenant Health's childcare center.


Implements the personal safety protocols mandated for children aged three years and older.

Collaborates effectively with specialists, educators, and other team members.


Demonstrates professionalism; including supportive communication regarding Covenant Health's programs, mentoring staff to meet performance goals, adhering to conflict resolution protocols, and pursuing professional growth.

Ensures the health, safety, and effective operation of the classroom.

Maintains compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing standards, and organizational criteria.

Assists management in maintaining appropriate staff-to-child ratios.

Consistently meets children's physical needs through established routines.

Oversees the smooth coordination of daily activities and schedules.


Keeps accurate records (Individual Child Information Charts, Daily Developmental Notes, Allergy List, Attendance Sheet, Illness Notifications, Incident Reports, Task Lists, Medication Records, and Notes from Home).


Conducts developmental assessments and orientations for new parents, ensuring a seamless transition for children moving between rooms.

Establishes regular communication with parents, both verbal and written.

Maintains Parent Communication Boards, Daily Updates, and Activity Logs.

Posts monthly themes, special events, assessment schedules, and other important information.

Responsible for leading parent conferences.

Oversees the planning and execution of activities tailored to children's developmental assessments and best practices.

Monitors children's growth and addresses any concerns with management.

Ensures timely completion of Developmental Assessments and Quarterly Updates, as needed.

Requests necessary supplies and collaborates with management to organize the classroom.

Ensures regular cleaning and rotation of classroom materials and toys.

Oversees classroom maintenance and communicates with administration for necessary repairs.

Completes required referral documentation.

Works with management to support children with special needs.

Attends mandatory staff meetings and training sessions as scheduled.

Adheres to policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required educational assignments annually. Strives to meet established goals and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum Experience:
Demonstrated experience in the relevant field. One to three (1-3) years of childcare experience. Required to maintain 18 hours of training annually. New employees must complete 24 hours of training in their first year.

Licensure Requirement:
Infant-child CPR and First Aid certification, renewed annually.
